The KIIT National Moot Court Competition has always been a flagship event for the KIIT School of Law. After 7 successful physical editions and one online edition of the KIIT National Moot Court Competition, we are excited to host the 9th KIIT National Moot Court Competition 2023 in physical mode this year in all its grandeur and splendor to uphold the reputation we have created through the previous editions.
ABOUT KIIT UNIVERSITY:

ELIGIBILITY AND TEAM COMPOSITION:
The competition is open to all students who are regularly enrolled in an undergraduate law degree or equivalent program administered by an accredited college/institution/university.
A recognized college/institution/university is entitled to send only one team to the competition.
Each team consists of three members, with two members designated as speakers and the third member as researcher.
POSITION:
The competition will be held offline at KIIT, School of Law, Patia, Bhubaneswar, Orissa – 751024.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:
Each team must provisionally register by completing the provisional registration form with all required details available at https://forms.gle/VaMFHbkSLR2nNxJS7. Once the team has completed the preliminary registration form, they can access the Moot Proposition and Event Timeline along with the other documents.
Each team must register by filling out the registration form with all the required details available at https://forms.gle/dVJYPLMMmtpaz5re7 and by paying the registration fee as provided in the Contest Rules.
Each team must complete this registration on or before January 15, 2023 (11:59 p.m.).
A scanned letter issued by the relevant authority of the team’s college/institution/university should be uploaded on the Google form https://forms.gle/dVJYPLMMmtpaz5re7
Once a team registers by completing the formalities specified in the competition rules, a code (hereinafter “Team Code”) will be assigned to the team by the 17thth January 2023.
A team registered under the Competition Rules may only change its composition after notifying the Organizing Committee of such change by emailing the team composition change to [email protected] with the subject “Team composition change (TC 9__) | 9th KNMCC 2023“. Team composition changes must be made no later than April 18th February 2023.
SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:
Each team must email an electronic copy of the memorial for each page in PDF and Microsoft Word (.docx/.doc) formats on or before April 18th February 2023 (11:59 p.m.) to [email protected]
Any soft copy submission made after April 18th February 2023 (11:59 p.m.) is considered a late submission and will be awarded 1 point for each day of delay until the 22nd of the monthnd February 2023 (11:59 p.m.).
All teams are required to submit five (5) paper copies of the memoranda for each side (5 for the Appellant and 5 for the Respondent) to the following address:

All teams should ensure their paper copies reach the OK by the latest February 22, 2023 (7:00 p.m.).
Teams must submit a cover letter along with the printed copy of the memorials. The cover letter should include the team code assigned to that team, details of the team members and college/institution/university represented.
FEE DETAILS:
The entry fee for the competition is Rs 4,000/-. The registration fee is non-refundable and is paid by all teams regardless of their participation in the oral rounds.
Registration fees include accommodation. Accommodation is on a first come, first served basis according to the Accommodation Plan form available at https://forms.gle/96apXgMH7WzEo8aK6. Please refer to the attached Rules and Regulations for further details.

∙ Clarifications to the Moot problem are possible until April 21St January 2023.
∙ Team composition changes before April 18th February 2023.
∙ Submission of soft copy memorials on or before April 18th February 2023.
∙ Hardcopy Memorials submitted on or before April 22nd February 2023.
∙ Beginning of oral rounds 3approx-5th March.
