WALNUT CREEK, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah (AAA NCNU), which has more than 6 million members across Northern California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska, announced today announced that Clay Creasey, its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), was named the 2022 Bay Area CFO of the Year in the Transformation Agent category.

Creasey joined AAA in 2016 with more than 25 years of experience as a CFO. He is responsible for a variety of club operations including accounting, financial planning, investments and risk management. He was named the 2022 Bay Area CFO of the Year in the Transformation Agent category for his outstanding achievements in breaking traditional financial boundaries and contributing to the transformation of AAA NCNU.
Creasey played a significant role in AAA NCNU’s acquisition of AAA Smart Home and GoMentum Station. Additionally, he played a key role in launching GIG Car Share, one of the nation’s largest free-floating car-sharing services. Creasey has accomplished all of this while helping the organization increase growth and member satisfaction.

Before joining AAA, Creasey held positions at Sun Bancorp, Toys “R” Us Inc., Mervyn’s (a subsidiary of Target Corporation), Lucky Stores, Fireman’s Insurance Fund and Crocker National Bank.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and an MBA from Stanford University and is a Chartered Accountant.
The Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards are presented by Larkin Street Youth Services in partnership with the San Francisco business hours. Creasey was honored at a ceremony at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco last month. The ceremony attracted over 500 Bay Area financial and business leaders while raising money to support Larkin Street’s mission to end youth homelessness.
