A consortium of Web3 companies officially announced this yesterday September 20th for the NFT day. From now on, this will be an annual moment for the Web3 community to educate people together about the value of blockchain-based experiences.
On this date in 2017, the primary protocol behind NFTs – ERC-721 – was originally released by Dapper Labs CTO Dieter Shirley in addition to the first use of the term “Non-Fungible Token”. Since then, technology has grown into one $11.3 billion industry.
As we always keep our readers up to date with the latest trends, we don’t miss out on the latest creations from the art-addicted crypto communities.
NFT news in the digital art world
This month, the 2022 edition of New York Fashion Week officially closed. During the five day event we managed to catch some of the biggest names in fashion including Tom Ford, Tory Burch, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors presents his latest outlook and vision for 2023 and beyond. What connected the fashion industry as the underlying trend was Web3 and more specifically NFTs.
Electric Feel also lit up New York City during New York Fashion Week 400+ participants who enjoyed the chandelier-lit rooftop lounge designed to showcase fashion trends and spring 2023 collections with a live model presentation paired with digital twins available for instant purchase and virtual try-on with the latest augmented virtual Reality experiences are available.

“Throughout history, art movements have influenced fashion, and today technology is the leading influence on the future of commerce. Artists, designers and technologists alike are embracing non-fungible tokens as a modern medium for future-proof fashion,” said Casey Golden, Founder of Luxlock. “NFTs that solve real-world problems will shape the future of culture and commerce.”
Over the past five days, some of the world’s biggest brands and designers have launched a litany of Web3-focused projects and initiatives. Brands are moving towards “phygital” offerings that bridge the physical and digital worlds, and the fashion industry is in a unique position to take full advantage of this tech fashion trend.
The fashion industry has started to work intensively on Web3 and NFTs in the last few months. For example, Gucci Branches started accepting crypto payments back in August. At this year’s New York Fashion Week, the participants were presented with innovations and visions relating to the Web3-focused future.
While it’s great that the fashion industry is embracing the technology, we’re also seeing new trends in the way art is being created by communities.
Lately we’re seeing more and more platforms being built following the – text-to-art model, which simply describes the art-e-fact you want to see, or rather – the art you imagine.
Of course, in order to create something unique, you need to open your mind and start being descriptive and creative, putting words into an order that might end up making a unique art-e-fact.
The innovation of the mid-journey platform
A great example of such a platform is Occasionally, which can be tested as a free trial of multiple arts. Midjourney is an independent research laboratory exploring new media of thought and expanding the imagination of the human species.
There are two ways to experience the tools: the midjourney bot, which you can use to generate images, and the web appwhere you can find a gallery of your own work and the creations of other users.
Once you start using our tool, you can create one limited number of pictures before you have to register. you will have around 25 free uses of the /imagine command or other queries (variations, upscales). These usages are also referred to as “Jobs” or “GPU Minutes”.
However, there are still artists who prefer to use more software that allows them to create handcrafted and unique digital art e-facts.
It seems the creative minds are unstoppable and are constantly inventing new and innovative ideas and exploring new areas in which this revolutionary propulsion technology can be applied.
