Amazon’s latest wireless earbuds have a much simpler semi-in-ear design, which translates into a significantly lower price point. They support multi-device pairing and customizable tap controls, and offer a meager five hours of battery life. However, you can boost this up to 20 hours with the included charging case, and give them two hours of juice on a quick 15-minute charge. They don’t have active noise-cancellation or interchangeable silicone earbuds like 2021’s Echo Buds (which now say “Echo Buds with active noise-cancellation (opens in a new tab)”), but they also cost a whopping $70 cheaper.

The new Echo Buds will retail for $49.99 when they make their grand debut on Wednesday, June 7th, but you can snag a pair for the introductory price of $39.99 by pre-ordering.

UPDATE: May. Feb 17, 2023 2:48pm EDT This story has been updated to clarify that the Echo Buds just announced are brand new earbuds and not a third generation model.
