What was your most interesting job before you went into real estate?

I was an assistant audio engineer at one of the top recording studios in Atlanta.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in southern Mississippi, just off the coast in a town called Ocean Springs.

Growing up what did you want to be?

I went from wanting to be a veterinarian to becoming a military and audio engineer.

What do you do to relax when you are stressed?

Spending time with my family, eating good food, playing golf.

If you could meet a famous person (alive or not), who would it be and why?

Probably Gary Vee. I love his business model and his no-nonsense attitude.

What is Atlanta’s best kept secret?

Oh good question. I would say Fat Matts BBQ. If you go, get the mac n cheese and the whole chicken.

What do you love most about the industry?

I love being part of my client’s story. It’s also incredible to hear from customers who are bringing their firstborn children home to the home you helped place them in. Such things.

How do you stand out from the crowd of brokers?

I’m very strong on social media. I am also very careful to be authentic. What you see is what you get, always. And I think that really helps me to stand out from others.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

I would say the hardest part is educating people in our local market when the national news could portray otherwise.

What are you binge watching/reading/listening to/watching/reading/listening to lately?

Oh man, I just finished watching the latest season of Westworld and I am currently fully committed to the NFL as we approach the playoff season.

What’s your favorite food in Atlanta?

My favorite food and some will laugh because it’s cheap and not “fancy” but Fellini’s pizza. You just can’t beat it.

Architecturally, what is your favorite building in Atlanta?

I love the Fox Theater. There’s just something about the history there and the details that you can’t beat.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you at work?

Probably shows a house that had a full rabbit farm in the living room. It was absolutely wild.

What surprises people when they learn about you?

I think people are surprised when they find out I can play the trumpet. I actually had a couple of college scholarships in music at the time.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?

My favorite vacation spot is either the Nashville area or a cruise. Relaxation in general is key.

What’s your favorite city after Atlanta?

I would say Vegas. I’ve been a few times for various reasons and it never disappoints. I’m a big foodie, and this is definitely a foodie’s dream.

Always trust your gut feeling and protect your sanity.

My favorites are Homesnap, RealScout, and for people looking for something simple and serious to look at houses, I’d say the Realtor.com app

I think that probably fits most, but people like Ryan Serhant, Rob Dyrdek, Gary Vee.
