Apple and Major League Soccer announce the launch of the MLS Season Pass on February 1, 2023
Apple and Major League Soccer today announced the launch of MLS Season Pass on February 1, 2023 – an unprecedented subscription service for fans in over 100 countries and territories that includes every live game of the MLS regular season, the entire playoffs and the Leagues Cup offers.1 all without power outages. MLS Season Pass brings MLS to its largest global audience ever in a simpler, more streamlined way: all games will be streamed to billions of devices via the Apple TV app on Apple devices, smart TVs, streaming devices, set-top boxes, and game consoles and on the Internet at tv.apple.com. The launch of the MLS Season Pass marks the official start of the 10-year partnership between MLS and Apple, a historic first for a major professional sports league.
Additionally, expansion club 2023 St. Louis CITY SC today unveiled their kits for the club’s inaugural season and delivered the first look of the Apple TV sleeve patch. All 29 clubs will have the Apple TV patch in a different color while the rest of the clubs’ kits will be shared in the weeks leading up to the start of the 2023 regular season.
“There is no more perfect time to introduce the MLS Season Pass after the most dramatic MLS Cup in history is on its heels and MLS is the fastest growing soccer league in the world,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of services. “Counting down the days to February 2023, when fans everywhere will be able to enjoy the MLS Season Pass on billions of devices – all without a power outage.”

The MLS Season Pass offers MLS fans the most comprehensive and accessible programming ever, including all MLS and Leagues Cup games as well as hundreds of MLS NEXT Pro and MLS NEXT games throughout the season. On matchdays, the MLS Season Pass offers an exclusive live match wheel-around show to ensure fans don’t miss an exciting goal or save, as well as match replays, highlights and analysis. Beginning February 1, fans can subscribe to the MLS Season Pass in the Apple TV app for $14.99 per month during the season or $99 per season, and Apple TV+ subscribers can subscribe for a special price of $12.99 per month and sign up for $79 per season.
As previously announced, the 2023 MLS regular season begins on February 25. The first home game announced so far is 2022 MLS Cup champions Los Angeles FC versus LA Galaxy in a historic game that showcases Los Angeles’ soccer rivalry at the Rose Bowl Stadium — the first MLS game of the regular season Season that has been held there since 2002. All MLS is Back opening weekend games can be viewed for free on the Apple TV app.
Supporters can watch MLS games with English and Spanish broadcast teams and easily listen to a club’s home radio broadcast via the Apple TV app. All matches involving Canadian teams will be available in French. Games are mainly held on Saturdays and Wednesdays, with some games held on Sundays. For most games, the start time is 7:30 p.m. local time, with pre-game coverage beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET. Some games per week may be broadcast at other times.
Major League Soccer’s full 2023 schedule will be announced in mid-December.
The MLS Season Pass offers fans in-depth coverage of their favorite clubs each week throughout the season, starting with a preview of each upcoming game. On matchday, fans have the opportunity to watch every game from the start, no matter what time they tune in. After the final whistle, fans can watch replays, highlight packages and more so they can catch up on anything they missed and off the pitch.
A subscription to the MLS Season Pass is part of all season ticket packages at MLS clubs. A selection of MLS and Leagues Cup games, including some of the biggest playoff games, will also be available to Apple TV+ subscribers at no additional cost, with a number of games available for free on the Apple TV app.
