Apple’s new iPad Pro is available for pre-order

This week we have five new products from several Select reader-favorite brands, spanning apparel, kitchenware and tech.

New this week

1. Instant, the brand behind the Select favorite Instant Pot pressure cooker, has launched the Instant Cold Brewer, a new cold brew coffee maker, and the Instant Indoor Grill and Air Fryer. Instant says you can brew up to 32 ounces of cold brew in about 20 minutes, and you can serve and store your cold brew in the dishwasher-safe glass pitcher. The Indoor Grill and Air Fryer offers four other functions: Bake, Grill, Roast and Dehydrate. The air fryer achieves the crispiness of frying with 95% less oil and comes with a dishwasher-safe, removable grill plate.

2. Apple announced that the new iPad Pro is available for pre-order now and will be in stores on October 26th. The iPad Pro is powered by the new M2 chip and offers iOS 16, ProRes video recording and an improved Apple Pencil experience (Apple Pencil sold separately), according to Apple.

3. Great Jones, a popular Select cookware brand, has launched the Great Jones Full Steam Duo, a 4-in-1 colander, steamer, splatter guard and trivet. The brand says it’s made from food-grade silicone and is dishwasher safe. Both the large and small options of the Full Steam Duo are designed to work with other Great Jones cookware, the brand says, but also fit other pots and pans.

4. Popular footwear brand Rothy’s has launched The Monty, a casual, sneaker-like men’s wool dress shoe. The brand says the flexible upper knit means there’s no break-in period, and the contoured footbed offers supportive structure. The shoes are fully machine washable, and the brand says they’ve made these shoes with their signature sustainably sourced yarn, which includes material from recycled water bottles.

1. Aerogarden is offering 30% off sitewide for a head start on holiday shopping.

2. BioBidet is offering up to 30% off bestselling bidets during the Spooktacular Savings event.

Shopping News: Shein enters resale games and wellness tech brand Oura announced a partnership with Therabody

1. According to a press release from the brand, Shein this week launched Shein Exchange in the Shein app, an internal resale option that allows shoppers to resell their unwanted Shein products. While other bigger brands like Gap, Adidas and Madewell have partnered with resale platform ThredUp, Shein chose to launch their own platform. Under Shein’s terms and conditions, the company sets a maximum price for certain items and sellers pay Shein 5% of their proceeds.

2. Urban Outfitters launched the Nuuly Thrift clothing resale app in 2021, allowing customers to sell their used Urban Outfitters clothes through an iOS app. Now Nuuly Thrift is also a web platform where users can create a free profile to sell pre-owned men’s, women’s and children’s clothing of any brand, not just Urban Outfitters. Nuuly users can fund their earnings into their bank account or earn “Nuuly Cash” worth 10% more at Nuuly Thrift, Anthropologie, Free People, Urban Outfitters, BHLDN or Terrain.

3. Wellness technology company Oura, creator of the Oura ring for health monitoring, announced a partnership with Therabody, creator of the popular Theragun massager. The partnership aims to offer users enhanced wellness solutions by combining Oura’s biometric data with proposed therapeutic options from Therabody. The Oura app will include Therabody therapies (like guided massages with the Theragun) and Theramind content like guided meditations.

4. Popular cookware brand Caraway will be available in 350 Target stores nationwide starting this week, according to CNBC. The direct-to-consumer cookware brand is already available on Target’s website.
