Makers and developers may be interested in a new mini PC and microcontroller from Ardi in the form of ArdiPi and Ardi-32. Designed to provide alternatives to the hugely popular range of Raspberry Pi mini PCs and Arduino boards, the range is now available on Kickstarter. Prices include free shipping across the UK, US and Europe. The full specs can be found on the official Kickstarter project page by following the link below. Backer Early Bird pledges are now available for the original project from around $9 or £8 (depending on current exchange rates).
“The Arduino Uno has long been the microcontroller board of choice for various projects for tinkerers, hobbyists, and electronics enthusiasts. But as technology has evolved, innovative options have emerged that offer even more strength, customization, and ease of use. The Ardi series is one such alternative. We have developed the Ardi series, a range of microcontroller boards fully compatible with the Arduino IDE and based on the powerful Raspberry Pi Pico and ESP32. The Ardi series boards are the best option for a variety of projects, from simple LED turn signals to complicated Internet of Things and robotics projects.”
Raspberry Pi and Arduino alternatives
“Engineers, unhappy with the limitations of available microcontroller boards, developed the Ardi series. They wanted a panel with the same functionality as the Arduino Uno, but with increased processing speed, storage capacity, and networking capabilities. They also wanted an easy-to-use board with a familiar programming environment and a large developer community.”
If the Ardi crowdfunding campaign successfully meets its required fundraising goal and project completion proceeds smoothly, global shipping is expected sometime in May 2023. To learn more about the Ardi project for many PCM microcontrollers, watch the promotional video below.
“With the Ardi series, programmers can benefit from the fast processing speed and massive memory of the Raspberry Pi Pico, the built-in WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity of the ESP32, and the convenient programming environment and rich code library of the Arduino Uno. Because of this, the Ardi series boards are perfect for a variety of applications, including remote monitoring and control systems, sensor networks, and home automation.”
