Audrey W. Surridge, an attorney in Fisher Phillips’ San Diego office, was recently elected President of the Lawyers Club of San Diego for the 2023-2024 term. Audrey is sworn in at the annual Lawyers Club dinner and begins her term in July.
The Lawyers Club of San Diego, with over 1,100 members, is a specialized bar association founded in 1972 with the aim of “improving the status of women in law and society”. The association’s members include lawyers, judges, law students and people of all genders who work to ensure that all people, regardless of gender, are treated fairly before the law and inside and outside the workplace.
As President, Audrey will lead and strengthen the Lawyers Club as the nucleus in San Diego for advocacy, inclusion and leadership. “The Lawyers Club of San Diego has been instrumental in my professional development and personal growth,” said Audrey. “I am deeply honored by this opportunity to give back to an organization that means so much to me. The work of the Lawyers Club is relevant and vital and I am delighted to be part of the ongoing effort to ensure women advance in the legal profession and society.”
An active member of the Lawyers Club since law school, Audrey is committed to promoting equality in all its forms and has served on the organization’s Board of Directors since 2020. Most recently, she served as vice president of professional development and of the Lawyers Club. He previously served as co-chair of the Annual Dinner Committee, the Professional Advancement Committee, and the Law Student Outreach Committee. In addition, since 2015, she has volunteered on a number of other committees to help members and the organization advance.

A rising star at Fisher Phillips, Audrey focuses her practice on employment law, representing employers in a wide range of workplace disputes, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, non-compliance, and wage and hourly wage disputes. Audrey also conducts workplace investigations and provides training on implicit bias, microaggression, and workplace investigations. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law.
