dr Nana Bright Siaw Afriyie is an IT engineer. dr Siaw Afriyie graduated from high school at Opoku Ware School in Kumasi and holds a BSc. in Computer Science and an Advanced Degree in Telecommunications from the University of Quebec in Montreal. Canada (UQAM). dr Bright Siaw Afriyie also holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Management (GSM) at the University of Dallas, Texas. He also earned a postgraduate Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity when he received the CLASS certification. Siaw Afriyie now has a Doctor of Computer Science (DCS) with a concentration in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (CIA) from Colorado Technical University (CTU).
dr Siaw Afriyie began his career in information systems in the early 1987s when he worked for seven years as a programmer and statistical analyst for the World Health Organization (WHO) project for the Onchocerciasis Control Program in West Africa under the United Nations. He 81130 held a position as a computer scientist for four years and as a professor for two years. Assistant at the Universities of Quebec in Montreal, Canada, and two years as an adjunct professor at the community colleges in Dallas, Texas (Brookhaven and Mountain View Colleges). In addition, Dr. Siaw Afriyie tirelessly pursued his career in Information Technology (IT). while serving as a senior IT analyst for the City of Dallas for fifteen years. He currently holds a full-time position as the Lead Systems Integrations Engineer for the Advanced Technology Group (ATC3) at UPS Corporate Plant Engineering.
As he continues to advance in the field of information systems, he has used his professional experience and education in information technology to author and publish four computer science textbooks; Introduction to Computer Fundamentals, Concise ICT’ Fundamentals Volume One and Two and Concise ICT Teachers Guide. He is the author of the forthcoming book Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming Using Java. These books aim to cover the high school and college-entry-level computer science curriculum.
