Business Gateway hosted a free online DigitalBoost event with Dr. Jillian Ney, the first “Dr. of Social Media” in the UK, which will equip Scottish companies with the knowledge to harness their internet data.
The hour-long webinar “Social Media Listening” with Dr. Jillian Ney takes place on Monday 27th February at 1pm and looks at social listening – what it is, how it can benefit business owners and shares tips on how to make cost savings. effective ways.
Award-winning digital anthropologist Dr. Jillian Ney is the founder of Glasgow-based The Social Intelligence Lab, a global community for professionals working with social and internet data.
She has been in the industry for more than a decade as a researcher, consultant, speaker and author. Voted one of the most influential women under 30 in digital marketing, she has presented two TED Talks – Connectedness and the Digital Self and Social Media: The Value Lies in the Data – and presented her work at SXSW, Social Media Week, NATO and 10 Downing Street.
dr Ney began her PhD in Social Media and Consumer Behavior in 2007 at the University of Strathclyde. She discovered that by analyzing how people present themselves and interact online, you can gain valuable insights into their behavior in the real world. Since then, she has developed methods to help companies understand what drives customer behavior by applying behavioral science to social data and other online data sources.
Social Media Listening with Dr. Jillian Ney will host a Q&A with Business Gateway Chief Officer Hugh Lightbody.
dr Ney will provide expert guidance on how businesses can use online data to gain insights about their audience and stay competitive, as well as examine the changing impact of the internet on the business landscape.
