Chapter 4 Season 2 is slated for release next week. Here’s everything we know so far based on various leaks, rumors, and official sources.
Season 2 start date
After pushing it last month, the start date for Season 2 of Chapter 4 is now confirmed for March 9th, 2023. The last full day of Season 1 will be March 8th, while Season 2 will start early the next morning. There is no live event.
Season 2 theme
Thanks to an inside source who previously provided correct information, we know that Season 2’s theme is ‘Futuristic / Neo-Tokyo’. The new theme sees the introduction of appropriate locations, weapons, items and vehicles in the game.
Season 2 locations
Leakers have revealed that Season 2 will introduce a gym on Fortnite Island, along with a “Neo Tokyo” location. The classic Lucky Landing POI will also return next season, getting a refresh to match the futuristic theme.
Season 2 weapons
The same inside source responsible for revealing the Season 2 theme and Battle Pass has also shared details on new weapons coming to Fortnite soon. A new pistol and shotgun are reportedly arriving with the Season 2 update, most likely replacing either the Thunder or Maven automatic shotgun. There is currently no information on which weapons will be vaulted and non-vaulted, so it’s unknown if the classic pump shotgun will return in Season 2.
Season 2 vehicles
Season 2 will reportedly introduce “futuristic motorcycles” to Fortnite, along with “glowing tubes” on the map for mobility. The classic Driftboard vehicle would also be perfect for Season 2’s Neo theme, but there’s currently no indication it will return. The futuristic bikes will most likely only be found in the new locations, while the standard versions will remain available on the rest of the map.
Battle Pass Season 2
The outfits included in the Season 2 Battle Pass were leaked by an inside source earlier this week. The pass will feature four characters from official polls, along with Attack on Titan’s Eren Yeager as the “secret skin” for the season.

Epic added the new Season 2 Starter Pack to the files in v23.50, giving us an early look at the next $3.99 bundle. It is expected to be released in March.

The new Save the World Season 2 Pack has also been added to the files in v23.50, giving us an early preview. It is expected to be released before April.
