Partners with Yubico for an exclusive offer to end phishing attacks once and for all
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 29, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Cloudflare, Inc. (NYSE: NET), the security, performance and reliability company helping to build a better Internet, today announced a new offering to make physical security keys the most accessible and economical solution for customers to better protect their business and employees. Cloudflare customers can purchase Yubico’s security keys, the leading hardware security keys and the most secure form of phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication (MFA), at an exclusive “good for the web” price.
A Zero Trust security model means that by default, no one is trusted, whether they are inside or outside a corporate network. Therefore, verification is required of anyone attempting to gain access to resources on that organization’s network, including location, trusted devices, and passwords. Today, hardware security keys are an added layer of protection and an MFA method proven to be phishing-resistant.
Cloudflare customers can request a quote on Yubico’s security key series at deeply discounted prices – as low as $10 – through their Cloudflare dashboard. Larger organizations using Cloudflare and purchasing a YubiEnterprise multi-year subscription to YubiKeys receive a 50% discount on the first year of a 3+ year subscription. This collaboration aims to make it easy and seamless for organizations of all sizes to purchase, activate, and authenticate with security keys.
In July, Cloudflare prevented an SMS phishing scam targeting more than 130 businesses because the company used Cloudflare Zero Trust in combination with YubiKeys. Physical security keys strengthen the barrier against attacks and work in conjunction with additional security measures such as DNS filtering, browser isolation, cloud email security and more where an attacker would need to compromise every signal.
“We always ask ourselves how we can do more to provide the best possible security for our customers and the internet in general. With phishing attacks on the rise, this means we can help democratize additional security measures that complement Cloudflare Zero’s trust experience. Having experienced this firsthand, we wanted to make implementing hardware security keys a breeze for any organization,” said Dane Knecht, SVP, Emerging Technology and Incubation at Cloudflare. “Working with Yubico is just another way how we’re trying to make it as seamless as possible to equip our customers with the best Zero Trust security strategy. As a Cloudflare Zero Trust customer, you get an easy, fast, and affordable way to implement security keys in your organization, and all Part of our larger mission to help build a better internet.”
With Yubico, Cloudflare ensures that physical security keys are:
-
Economically: Adopting security keys can be difficult for organizations with smaller security teams or those just getting started with two-factor authentication. By offering security keys at the most affordable price, this deal makes keys a lesser financial burden for small businesses.
-
Accessible: Now Cloudflare customers can order Security Key Series supporting FIDO-based authentication directly from their dashboard. Available through YubiEnterprise subscription, the YubiKey 5 Series supports multiple authentication protocols, from legacy applications to modern FIDO-based apps and services. Exclusive Internet Good pricing helps introduce Cloudflare customers to the value and functionality of hardware keys.
-
Easy to use: Setting up security keys is easy for participating Cloudflare customers. For admins, Cloudflare Zero Trust makes it easy to use your security keys with any Identity Provider (IdP), integrating both the keys and the IdP into a comprehensive Zero Trust solution. For employees, a simple guided prompt makes touching a security key for authentication seamless. Security keys work on all devices, operating systems and areas within an organization.
“Yubico pioneered the modern security key YubiKey and continues to set the industry standard by protecting enterprise customers and consumers from security threats,” said Stina Ehrenvard, CEO and co-founder of Yubico. “Today’s attacks require modern MFA. Working with Cloudflare will help put more security keys and YubiKeys in the hands of their customers to deliver the combination of phishing-resistant MFA and security.”
This special promotion is available to Cloudflare customers through December 31, 2022.
