A new 5G experience center in Atlanta invites customers from all industries to experience the true business value of 5G technology
TEANECK, NJ, 25 Oct2022 /PRNewswire/ — Cognizant is expanding its collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. to accelerate enterprise digital transformation through a new 5G Experience Center in Atlanta, GA. The collaboration combines Cognizant’s deep expertise in 5G, IoT, cloud and data analytics with Qualcomm Technologies’ intelligent edge devices, AI and 5G connectivity solutions.
Building on the improvements that 4G brought to the mobile consumer experience, 5G was designed with the enterprise in mind to enable and accelerate comprehensive digital transformation journeys across all industries. 5G private networks will enable next-generation services such as autonomous driving, robotic automation, synthetic biology, virtual reality, and intelligent manufacturing in a highly reliable, secure, and scalable, low-latency manner.

Cognizant expands its presence in the 5G Experience Center worldwide with the Atlanta Location is the first of our planned 5G centers in North America. It builds on the success of Cognizant’s 5G center in Bangalore, India. The center is designed to help customers design, test and deploy next-generation solutions by combining 5G private networks and Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) technologies to deliver unique benefits.
The combination of 5G and MEC offers companies the ability to create multiple virtual networks using the same physical hardware and support thousands of connected devices generating real-time data insights with better network security and less congestion – all of which translates into better business outcomes and more seamless end user experiences.
The center opens with several use cases for customers to explore, including:
- Manufacturing: 5G-connected cameras with video analytics leveraging the MEC infrastructure can help customers significantly speed up the detection of anomalies on production lines, enabling rapid intervention and problem resolution to maximize production yields and minimize downtime.
- Supply chain management: Autonomous mobile robots, controlled and operated via 5G and integrated with warehouse management, fleet management and inventory control systems, can enable more predictable and consistent supply of components in manufacturing, more efficient inventory control and significantly reduced risk of workplace injuries.
