Coming soon: ChatGPT-like chatbots for businesses

With ChatGPT all the rage, conversational AI platforms have started developing chatbots with similar capabilities for enterprise use. To do this, they use GPT-3 LLM (Large Language Model) and adapt it to company requirements.

For example, Gupshup — a conversational platform that became a unicorn in 2021 — launched Auto Bot Builder, a tool that leverages the power of GPT-3 to automatically build advanced chatbots tailored to business needs.

Unlike ChatGPT, a general-purpose chatbot, it is fine-tuned using a proprietary company knowledge base and domain expertise, resulting in a company-specific chatbot.

Beerud Sheth, CEO of Gupshup, said: “The new feature amplifies and accelerates the benefits of the currently deployed use cases. From customer support and troubleshooting to upselling and cross-selling, it can handle anything. The offer can be taken over by companies across all sectors as required. We believe the BFSI sector will see rapid and increased adoption.”

Different variations

Similarly, Yellow.ai, an enterprise conversational AI platform, also leverages GPT-3 capabilities to build enterprise-grade tools.

Jaya Kishore Reddy Gollareddy, CTO and Co-Founder of Yellow.ai, said: “Each company is inherently very different; Each has their own domain knowledge and resources very specific to their products and services. In order for them to use ChatGPT, they would need to access the API to optimize ChatGPT with their own data and create their own variants of ChatGPT.”

This is where Yellow.ai can bring in orchestration of the chat layer and back-end systems, allowing companies to bring in their domain knowledge and conversational experience tailored to each company’s unique use case, he said.

Since ChatGPT went viral, it’s easier to explain GPT-3 to customers, and there’s an acceleration in adoption as well. While the chatbot won’t replace existing systems, it can improve agent and marketer productivity and efficiency, he added

Companies like Canva have also taken advantage of GPT 3’s capabilities. It introduced Magic Write, which uses GPT-3 to create meeting agendas, marketing plans, and other presentation documents with visual elements.
