Vladimir Coufal deletes social media post after abuse by so-called West Ham fans, but real followers are rallying
West Ham played a 1-1 draw with Southampton on Sunday, a result that left many Hammers supporters and manager David Moyes frustrated.
The east Londoners had enough chances to win three games but it took a special from Declan Rice to save the day after officials somehow allowed Southampton’s opening game.
With major defensive problems, Moyes was forced to start all four of his first-team full-backs on the same team.

Coufal started at right-back.
West Ham’s Czech fan favorite is one of several players struggling to find their way back to their best form.
Coufal himself would probably be the first to admit that.
The full-back, along with Aaron Creswell, was guilty of wasting numerous crosses, hitting the defender too often or not picking a teammate.
But as always, Coufal gave his all for the team, with his attitude and will never being questioned.
So what happened to him after the match left a bitter taste in his mouth.
Vladimir Coufal deletes social media post after abuse by so-called West Ham fans, but real followers are rallying
Coufal deleted a social media post after abuse by so-called West Ham fans, but genuine supporters are rallying behind him.
Just a few months ago, the defender was hailed as a cult hero after unforgettablely running head-on through thousands of Eintracht Frankfurt fans who stormed onto the pitch to applaud the traveling Hammers support following our Europa League semi-final defeat in Germany and thank her.
But after posting a message about the Saints game on Twitter, Coufal faced abuse from a minority of so-called West Ham fans.
And the gruesome news clearly hit Coufal when he deleted his post.
We all have our opinions about players and part of football is debating and debating them.
But to actually target a player who was a leading figure on and off the pitch in West Ham’s resurrection from pathetic relegation contenders to a genuinely European side is utterly wrong.
However, the great thing about West Ham is that the true fans will always have their players behind them.
And Hammers supporters rallied around Coufal, sending him messages of support and posting pictures of him online.
