A father caused an uproar on Reddit this week after announcing he would no longer help his daughter with her car payments because she worked as a stripper.
A 47-year-old man asked the internet for the internet’s thoughts on his family feud in a viral “Am I the A-Hole” post on Reddit, where he shared that a co-worker told him his daughter was making money while she was in college by undressing .
The man, who went by the name LivingWitHorse, confronted his 22-year-old daughter, who lives on campus.
He said he asked her to stop performing as a dancer, telling her to “work at McDonald’s and not use her body” to make money.
“I asked her to stop stripping and get a decent job,” he wrote. “She refused and said stripping was easy money, so I basically said I wouldn’t have to pay for her car anymore since she makes money so easily.”
“She was upset and said it wasn’t fair and she wasn’t making enough money for it,” he continued. “I told her to find out.”

The man said his wife didn’t approve of their daughter’s career choice either, but agreed it wasn’t fair for him to put her on hold.
“I think it’s perfectly fair,” he concluded. “It’s my money and my decision when to cut it.”
The post went viral, garnered more than 20,000 reactions and has since been tagged with an “A-hole” tag.
“[You’re the a–hole] Age. You can do something [you] want with your money, but you absolutely showed your true colors. And it’s red. Like red flags for the way you treat women,” fumed one commenter.
Many Reddit users criticized the fact that his colleague decided to betray his daughter’s job, considering her the real villain of the story.
“What kind of a dump tells a woman’s parents they saw their daughter stripping like it’s none of their business?” the post’s top commenter grumbled. “Your disgusting colleague who goes to strip clubs to stare at women but then babbles about them is the greatest [a–hole] in this [in my opinion].”
“Prob tried to hit on her and was told to fuck off,” surmised another.
