This is the first time Samsung’s 55-inch flagship gaming monitor has dropped below $2,000 in price (it was around $2,300 on Black Friday). The Odyssey Ark is a 55-inch QLED mini-LED gaming monitor with 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution and an aggressive 1000R curve for maximum immersion. The amazing thing about this monitor is that despite the gargantuan size, the stand allows you to rotate this monitor 90 degrees to portrait mode. Samsung calls it “Cockpit” mode and allows you to view it as three screens stacked on top of each other.

The Samsung T7 Shield is an external solid state drive. SSDs are much faster than traditional hard drives, and in combination with the USB 3.2 Type-C interface, the T7 achieves transfer speeds of up to 1,050 MB/s reading and 1,000 MB/s writing. For comparison, a conventional portable hard drive can only achieve transfer speeds of around 100 MB/s via USB 3.0. That’s a real order of magnitude of difference. The Samsung T7 Shield in particular is more durable than your typical SSD enclosure. It’s IP65 water and dust resistant and shockproof up to 10 feet. The T7 Shield’s soft-touch body is less prone to general wear and tear and is also easier to grip.
