IPL 2023 DC vs MI Preview: Both the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians will be eyeing their first win of the season when they lock horns at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The two teams are the only remaining sides who have not won a single game so far in the first fortnight of the league’s 16th season.
Five-time champions MI, who have been slow starters in the past, failed to defend goals in their first two games and suffered defeats by eight wickets and seven wickets against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings respectively.
DC, who reached a first final in 2020 where they lost to MI, had it worse with a hat-trick of losses early in the season.
The Capitals, led by ex-Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner with wicketkeeper-captain Rishabh Pant out, started with a 50-run loss to Lucknow Super Giants in Hyderabad.
This was followed by a six-wicket loss at home to the defending Gujarat Titans and a 57-run loss to the Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati that relegated them to bottom of the table.
