Gameloft has released the A Festival of Friendship update for Disney Dreamlight Valley Early Access, adding new friends, features and more.
Get the details below.
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s third free major content update, A Celebration of Friendship, is now live on all platforms! Expect new friends, new features, and just a touch of Frost and Oblivion – but more on that later.
Disney centenary
We’re joining the Disney 100th Anniversary celebrations with a Dreamlight twist! The first Starpath of 2023 celebrates the legacy of Disney’s longstanding creativity and imagination. By completing quests themed around Mickey and the game’s Disney and Pixar friends list, you’ll have the opportunity to claim clothing and furniture inspired by real-life Disney100 items. You can also dress Minnie and Mickey in new dream styles based on their Disney Parks Centennial outfits!
The Frosted Heights are getting even frostier
Unpack your warmest outfit before heading north in this update! A mysterious blizzard has taken over Frosted Heights – and it’s up to you to uncover its origins. As you work with Merlin and Elsa to disperse the winter chaos, you’ll also “find” a new friend who’s a fan of warm hugs – Olaf from Disney’s Frozen!
The Power of Friendship
Olaf isn’t the only new friend to meet in this update. Once you find the “key” to Mini-Casita, Mirabel from Disney’s Encanto will join your valley! You must use both the power of friendship and Dreamlight to undo the effects of oblivion on Mini-Casita. Mirabel’s unique abilities in resolving family conflicts will also play a key role in restoring harmony to Dreamlight Valley.
A new way to play!
This latest update also marks the launch of the in-game Premium Shop! Players can trade in their moonstones for an exclusive rotation of cosmetic items not sold anywhere else. Go shopping to buy premium clothing and furniture, or even change the look of your home into a cottage or palace.
Of course, that hasn’t stopped Scrooge McDuck from adding more brand new items to his store! Sell the pumpkins you kept and make sure to set aside some Star Coins for new furniture and clothing items.
Community controlled features
As always, we’re excited to see you dive into all of the new content in this update – but we also wanted to take the time to share more about some of the new features that, inspired by your comments and feedback! Here are just some of the changes and additions you can expect in this update:
Storage Optimization – We know that many of our players just can’t leave things nailed to the ground – so we’re excited to announce that you’ll have access to a wealth of new storage options! Starting with this update, you can craft additional tiers of storage chests to accommodate your gathering needs, and use other furniture (like fridges and dressers) for storage. Clearer Labeling System – We loved watching you label your chests Whether you’re leaving fish on the floor or stacking hoards of items on tables, we’ve created a clearer labeling system! With the addition of a new craftable signpost, players can choose from a variety of labels to organize their valleys. House Skins – House Skins are HERE! In addition to the new Dream Home styles available for purchase in the Premium Shop, you can change the color of your home (once your home is fully upgraded) to a variety of color combinations for FREE via the furniture menu.Update Interior Doors – You can now change the interior doors in your houses once you fully upgrade your house. In addition, you can also change their placements! Note that any previously placed doors will automatically be added back to your furniture inventory.
That’s not all! In addition to these features, there are many other features and improvements that we have included in this update. For a more complete list, see our previous blog article here.
errors and solutions
Finally, but more importantly, we’re continually releasing many fixes for the top issues reported by the Disney Dreamlight Valley community. We want to say a big thank you to everyone who reported their issues, but also for everyone’s patience while we work to resolve them.
As the game is still in Early Access, we will continue to do our best to fix any issues that arise and proactively prevent further bugs. A full list of what’s included in this update can be found here.
