GCam (aka Google Camera) is the official camera app that comes preinstalled on Google Pixel smartphones. Google Camera was launched in April 2014 and was supported by any Android smartphone running Android 4.4 or higher. But at the moment this app is only available for Pixel devices.
Google Camera has some iconic features unlike camera apps from other OEMs, making it more powerful than other OEMs. It brings HDR+ with dual exposure controls, night vision, Super Res Zoom, Top Shot, Portrait and Long Shot.
Previously, the search tech maker released the latest Google Camera version 8.7 for several Pixel smartphones via the Play Store. The new update brings new features, further improves features and fixes bugs for a better user experience.
However, due to software limitations, it is not possible to install Google Camera on non-Pixel smartphones. Meanwhile, you can try the latest GCam based on the recently released official Google Camera 8.7 version.
Courtesy of a popular GCam modder BSG for modding the GCam MGC_8.7.250_A11_V12 app, it now works on various smartphones from different OEMs like OnePlus, Realme, Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola and others. With this app you can test the picture quality of Pixel phones.
Further, this new application version comes with the additional “Noise Model” and “Skip metadata check” to the “Additional settings” of the module and fixes some general bugs. For more information, see the full changelog below.
