NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi released the first list of seat allocations under its Common Seat Allocation Systems (CSAS) portal on Wednesday. Unlike in previous years, no public list of earnings was published. After logging into the portal, the candidates will be informed of their selection for admission.
After a candidate has been assigned the seat by DU, they must click on the “Accept Assignment” icon on the “Users” tab.
Subsequently, candidates should pay the fee after receiving approval from the college rector. DU also advised candidates that they must take a printout of the receipt with them. “Over 9,000 candidates accepted admission to various programs within half an hour,” said Vikas Gupta, DU’s registrar. At least six students with perfect CUET scores were assigned their first preferences.
After a one-day delay in releasing the first list, the DU released the revised schedule for the first round of the CSAS list on Wednesday. According to the new schedule, candidates can take up their assigned seats before 5 p.m. on October 21.
The College will simultaneously review and approve the online application, the deadline for the College to review and approve the application is October 22nd at 5pm. Candidates must pay the admission fee by October 24, 4:59 p.m. according to the changed schedule. However, the other timeline for admission remains the same.
“Applicants must also regularly check the “Query” tab. If the college has made a request, the candidate must respond to it in a timely manner. The college will only process the application after receiving a satisfactory response from a candidate,” the DU said in a press release.
This year, the university is accepting students with Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores in place of Class XII grades. On September 12, the university released its Admissions and Allocations Policy.
