Flux Construct 1 Core uses boss strategy in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

At the start of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll likely come across a pyramid of blocks topped with a red searchlight that will scan the area. If you think it looks like a mini boss, you’re absolutely right! It’s called Flux Construct 1, and if you don’t know what you’re doing, you’ll quickly get full-bodied.

Luckily, defeating this boss and utilizing his dropped items – including the frighteningly powerful Flux Construct 1 Core – is fairly easy once you figure it out. Luckily we’ve taken care of the dying so you don’t have to.

Where to find the Flux Construct 1 in Tears of the Kingdom?

The first Flux Construct 1 you come across is on the first sky island you come across. However, it’s a lot easier if you have a decent weapon (around 10 attack points) and a bow. Ideally, you should also have your fourth heart container and some new armor. We recommend flying all the way to Hyrule Castle, grabbing the paraglider, and then teleporting back to Nachoyah Shrine in the south of the Great Sky Island.

From there, head to the location marked below. The paraglider really makes a big difference here, as you can probably imagine.

When you’re ready to dive in, save something outside of an arena:

Then internalize the following tips.

How to beat the Flux Construct in Tears of the Kingdom

As soon as you attack the enemy, he turns into a colossus that tries to knock you down with his fists. Luckily, if you look closely, you’ll notice that one of the blocks isn’t like the others. Which block it is appears to be random, but it’s fairly easy to spot thanks to the glowing dots.

Just place that with an arrow and the bad guy will hit the knee. This gives you the option to run in and go for it with your strongest weapon. When you see things picking up again, sprint away like your life depends on it. (It does.)

Repeat this until the boss falls apart and explodes in sweet, sweet loot.

You should see a lot of objects on the ground. Take what you can and look for the one item you can’t find.

How to use the Flux Construct 1 Core

Flux Construct 1 drops the Flux Construct 1 Core. You cannot pick up this item, but you can attach it to a weapon to give it a massive damage boost.

Simply put, equip a weapon that hasn’t already been fused (we used a Zonaite Sword for flavor gain) and use the Fusion ability to create a fearsome looking weapon. Our sword’s attack power has increased from 6 to 19, which means that the attack power has more than tripled with +13 attack.
