No matter you are a new user or an old user, it is very easy to operate iPhone. In fact, navigating and getting used to iOS is so easy that even your grandparents will easily understand and learn the basic functions of the iPhone. But while the iPhone is a fairly user-friendly device, there are a few things you should know to get the most out of your new system. Whether you just bought the iPhone 14 Pro or the iPhone SE, here are some tips and tricks to keep in mind.
Clean up your home screen
Nobody likes a cluttered home screen on the iPhone, but there’s a tool called App Library that automatically organizes your apps into labeled groups to make them easier to find. The idea is that you can find apps with a few swipes and taps. If you have a lot of websites full of apps, App Library is for you. You can find the App Library by scrolling on the very last home screen – just keep swiping left and you’ll find it. You don’t need to organize this screen. All your apps are displayed in small boxes with four squares. If there’s an app in the app library that isn’t on your home screen, you can easily add it. Just tap and hold on an app icon until you see the context menu and select “Add to Home Screen”.

Prevent apps from tracking your location
Most third-party apps that you download to your iPhone track your behavior and preferences for marketing purposes. In fact, some apps even have access to your personal information, but luckily the iPhone has the ability to turn off those apps to see where you are. All you have to do is open the settings on your iPhone and tap on “Privacy” and then select “Location Services”. You can turn off location services entirely by toggling the switch at the top of the screen. However, this will also turn off features for useful features like your Weather app and Maps. What you can do is view a list of individual apps that you can track. Uncheck anyone you don’t want to share your location with.

Turn off mobile data when not in use
If you don’t subscribe to an unlimited cellular plan or aren’t always within range of a Wi-Fi connection, you can easily exceed your monthly mobile data allowance. For this reason, it is recommended to turn off mobile data when not in use. With a simple setting in iOS, you can quickly turn mobile data on or off. Go to Settings on your iPhone and tap cellular to open the cellular data Menu. On the Cellular screen, tap cellular data Shift key to turn it on or off.

Take a screenshot on your iPhone
Would you like to save a copy of your train ticket or have another copy of your electricity bill? Taking a screenshot is an easy way to save an extra copy of important documents. In fact, it’s easy to take a screenshot on your iPhone. Taking a screenshot on your iPhone depends on whether you have a home button or not. If you have newer iPhones with Face ID, all you have to do is press and hold the side button to the right of the screen and the volume up button at the same time to take a screenshot. Any older models that still have a physical button on the front of the phone (iPhone 8 and earlier) require you to press the home button and hold the side button. You’ll see a “lightning flash” on the screen when you take a screenshot. The screenshot will then appear in your camera roll and in the Screenshots album.
