A source revealed that 9to5Google (opens in new tab) that Gmail and Google Calendar apps are likely to come to market pixel clock. This would be a step up from the current experience, which uses an agenda app for the calendar on the Pixel Watch and only offers Gmail access via notifications. The source has told 9to5Google that these new apps will offer full experiences for both productivity features, although nothing has been revealed about a user interface or functionality yet.

Google Pixel Watch: Current Productivity Shortcomings
Right now, the productivity experience on the Google Pixel Watch is a little flat. Currently the only way to access emails is when they arrive or in the main notification feed. There’s no full email app, which to be honest is a bit surprising. Apple doesn’t just have a full email client for its Apple watch lineup, but there actually is a full email app for Wear OS – it’s just not from Google. Instead, it is an Outlook app from Microsoft.
The calendar function is another strange shortcoming, because Google’s competitors offer great solutions here too. Google uses an Agenda app and Google Assistant to handle all calendar workflows. Meanwhile, Samsung has a full calendar app of its own Galaxy Watches, which can even be integrated with your existing Google calendars. That’s a big reason why I use Samsung Calendar on mine Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra instead of Google Calendar.
Google Pixel Watch: On sale for a limited time
Despite the fact that it has some productivity flaws, the Google Pixel Watch is still a great watch. It has a clean, minimalist design and brings Fitbit fitness tracking to a streamlined Wear OS experience. Battery life is probably the biggest hit against it – it struggles to last a day – but if you want the ultimate Google experience on your wrist, this is the watch for you.
