Gwyneth Paltrow has built an empire of wellness trends with her lifestyle brand Goop. She has popularized the use of IV fluids, markets several vaginal health products, and makes other “buzzy” items. However, all of this came to a head recently when Paltrow shared her diet, and people had a lot of concerns about how healthy her eating plan actually is. Now the former actress is trying to subvert perceptions by sharing multiple photos of chewy meals she appears to have prepared for herself.
The star drew a lot of backlash after sharing her wellness routine, which consisted of lots of catchphrases and unconventional eating habits. Although she has since defended her habit, it seems she doubles down on the notion that she eats enough during the day. With that in mind, she posted several photos of healthy, high-protein meals on her Instagram story. You can see one of the food posts below:

This dish definitely looks way more substantial than the ones the Iron Man graduate mentioned in her last interview. And the veggie paella she also posted about looks filling too:

What’s striking is that all of these meals seem quite different, giving the impression that Gwyneth Paltrow has a varied palette. Check out this next appetizer filled with peas:

For those who need more context, the Oscar winner, along with her doctor, Dr. Will Cole appeared on The Art of Being Well podcast (opens in new tab). She shared that she is on intermittent fasting, detox and a Paleo diet. In addition, her menu consists of black coffee, bone broth and a meal rich in vegetables. In addition, she has several favorite infusions for nutrients, goes to the sauna every day and does sports. This sparked a backlash because many believed the actress was promoting unhealthy eating habits and disordered eating habits. Responding to the backlash, Gwyneth Paltrow said that due to her long COVID, many anti-inflammatory foods are important for her to stay healthy. She also explained that she worked with Dr. Cole collaborated to create her wellness journey.
Still, many weren’t convinced that the A-lister’s routine had merit. A nutritionist called her online saying that any routine that consisted of very little food wasn’t healthy and found her routine incredibly restrictive. This isn’t the first time medical professionals have reacted negatively to her lifestyle. Many have called her company’s health recommendations “pseudoscience” and warned against the overuse of trendy IVs.
However, the recent photos that Gwyneth Paltrow posted on her Instagram story paint a very different picture than her podcast appearance. Though there are plenty of veggies, there’s also protein, a variety of sauces, and other fix-ins for a robust meal. It’s hard to tell if this collection of images is actually a direct response to the backlash, but the timing is frankly interesting. Regardless, one would think that some of her fans would take comfort in knowing that she does eat substantial meals.
