Apple’s streaming service is one of the UK’s most popular entertainment platforms, with more than 25 million paying users worldwide last year.
But Apple TV+ isn’t just for iPhone, Mac, or iPad owners. Even if you have a PC, Android device, gaming console, smart TV, laptop, tablet, or most smartphones, anyone can access the streaming service for a monthly fee. And if you’re a fan of excellent television, consider subscribing.
Since its launch in 2019, AppleTV+ has built a solid library of original shows aimed at a broad audience, including dramas, comedies, documentaries, and even children’s shows. Unlike the competition, Apple TV+ has a heavy focus on original programming and is the only place to watch critically acclaimed shows like Ted Lasso, Slow Horses, Pachinko, and Severance.
It’s also competitively priced and one of the cheapest streaming services out there when compared to streaming champions Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime. Even better, if you’ve recently purchased an Apple device, you may be eligible for an extended free trial to try out some content before subscribing.
If you want to get the best deal on Apple TV+, we’ve rounded up the best prices to help you get the most from your subscription.
New subscribers only. £6.99/month. after free trial. The plan will automatically renew until canceled.

How much does Apple TV+ cost and what is the cheapest option in the UK?
Apple TV+ costs £6.99 a month, down from the original introductory price of £4.99. Although it’s up a bit, it’s still one of the cheapest options available for streaming platforms right now.
If you’re an Apple fan, you can bundle five Apple services into one to save money. Apple One combines Apple Music, 2TB of storage on iCloud+, Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade for £16.95 a month, a saving of £7 compared to buying each service individually.
Fans of Ted Lasso might be interested in the Apple TV+ MLS Season Pass, which broadcasts live Major League Soccer matches and unlocks fansites and bonus content for £14.99 a month.
The MLS Season Pass is available on top of your regular Apple TV+ subscription, but if you subscribe to both you get a £2 discount.
How much does Apple TV+ cost and what is the cheapest option in the US?
In the US, an Apple TV+ subscription costs $6.99 per month. The separate Apple TV+ MLS plan costs $14.99 per month, with a $2 discount if you subscribe to both services.
What is included in the regular monthly price?
In terms of access, Apple TV+ gives you all of Apple’s exclusive shows and movies like Ted Lasso, Severance, Slow Horses and Shrinking.
(Apple)
Don’t confuse Apple TV+ with the free Apple TV app that appears on your iOS devices. This app just acts as a dashboard to show all your different streaming services in one place, including Netflix, Prime Video, and Apple TV+, each with their own subscription fees.
If you have Family Sharing turned on, you can share your membership with up to five other family members on different devices. That’s good news if you’re worried about Apple cracking down on password sharing.
How does the price of Apple TV+ compare to Netflix?
Despite the price increase, Apple TV+ remains one of the cheaper streaming options currently compared to similar plans on other platforms.

The basic package on Netflix is cheaper at £4.99 but includes commercial breaks and no ability to download shows. The standard package costs £10.99 a month, while the 4K HDR streaming plan (which is the closest thing to the Apple TV+’s £6.99 plan) costs £15.99 a month.
How does the price of Apple TV+ compare to Disney+?
Disney+ costs £7.99 a month, but you have the option to pay at the reduced price of £79.90 for a full year. That means paying for a full year is £6.66 a month, which is 33p less than Apple TV+’s £6.99. It also means you’re locked into Disney’s streaming service until 2024.
How does the price of Apple TV+ compare to Prime Video?
Amazon Prime bundles Amazon perks with Prime Video, so it can be difficult to compare comparable deals. Prime gives you next-day delivery when shopping on Amazon, plus access to sales events like Amazon Prime Day and of course the ability to stream original and blockbuster content on Prime Video.
Amazon Prime is currently priced at £8.99 per month. Alternatively, you can pay £95 per year, which works out to around £7.92 per month.
Ultimately, the decision is yours. Whether you subscribe to AppleTV+ or any of the other services listed above depends entirely on your budget and the type of content you want to stream.
New subscribers only. £6.99/month. after free trial. The plan will automatically renew until canceled.
