How to get Spectrum TV app on Amazon Fire Stick [Guide]

Today we are going to look at how you can install Spectrum TV app on Amazon Fire Stick.

For the uninitiated, Spectrum TV is a streaming service that lets you watch a range of live TV channels and also a range of on-demand content. How to install the Spectrum TV app on the Fire Stick

Now that you know the Spectrum TV app, it’s time to look at the steps you need to follow to install the app on your Fire Stick. Before installing the app, connect your Fire Stick to your TV’s HDMI port and connect it to a WiFi network. Once you have the Fire Stick powered on and connected to the internet, you can follow these steps.

  • Grab the remote for your Fire Stick remote from the home screen and select the search box.
  • In the search box, type downloader and search for the app.
  • The app has an orange icon. Once you find the app, download and install it on your Fire Stick device.

Now you need to enable developer options on your Amazon Fire Stick. This is required because the Spectrum TV app needs to be sideloaded onto your Fire Stick. Here are the steps

How to Install the Spectrum App on Fire TV
  1. Use the remote control to navigate to the Settings page on your Fire Stick.
  2. Select the My Fire TV option.
  3. Scroll and select Developer options.
  4. Check the Install apps from unknown sources option.
  5. Switch the option to On to allow installing apps from unknown sources.

Download the Spectrum TV app

Now that you have the Downloader app and also enabled the developer options, it’s time to sideload the Spectrum TV app.

How to Install the Spectrum App on Fire TV
  1. Launch the Downloader app you previously installed on your Fire Stick.
  2. The app will now show a URL bar. You need to enter the URL of the Spectrum TV app.
  3. Enter https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/spectrum/spectrum-tv/ with your remote control
  4. You must select the latest available version of the app.
  5. Once the app is downloaded, the Spectrum TV app installation screen will appear on your screen.
  6. Choose the Install button at the bottom of the screen.
  7. The Spectrum TV app will now appear on your Fire Stick’s home screen. Just launch the app and sign in with your Spectrum TV credentials.

Cast Spectrum from iPhone or Android to Fire Stick

If for some reason you can’t install the Spectrum TV app on your Fire Stick, you can still stream the content wirelessly by casting the app. Here are the steps you can follow to cast Spectrum TV to your Fire Stick.

  1. First, connect your Android or iOS device and your Fire Stick to the same WiFi network.
  2. Download the Spectrum TV app now from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
  3. Once the app has downloaded, log into the app using your Spectrum TV credentials.
  4. On android
    • Open the Settings app and look for Cast or Screen Mirror or Wireless Display
    • Your device searches for wireless displays connected to the same WiFi network.
    • Once you locate your Fire Stick, select it and you can now mirror the Spectrum TV app to your Fire Stick.
  5. On iPhone
    • Open Control Center on your iPhone.
    • Tap Screen Mirroring.
    • Your iPhone is searching for wireless displays. This only works if your Fire Stick supports Apple AirPlay
    • Once you locate the Fire Stick, tap on it to mirror the Spectrum TV app to your Fire Stick.
  6. Here’s how you can stream and enjoy content on your Fire Stick through the Spectrum app on your phone when the app fails to install on your Fire Stick.
