Warzone 2’s snipers are significantly weaker than their Caldera counterparts, but a new Season 2 trick gives some loadouts one-shot-kill potential. Here’s how you can build one for yourself.
Warzone 2 fans have been vocal in their displeasure at the removal of one-hit-kill snipers since the game launched in November. These powerful, long-range weapons were a mainstay in the first WZ, and players have longed to return to this meta.
This new method isn’t as flexible as those old builds, but it’s the closest thing to the new game, and that’s what you need to know to get started.

How to make a one shot sniper in Warzone 2
One-shot kill potential comes down to one attachment: incendiary rounds.
Equipping the Flaming Orb type takes away damage range, speed, and penetration, but ticks the damage over enough to pack a punch at short and medium ranges.
Longtime fans will remember that this trick worked before the move to WZ 2 and the strategy behind it hasn’t changed much.
All it takes is one of the more powerful weapons like the MCPR and the Victus, ideally with a longer barrel to compensate for the damage range lost due to the ammo type.

Barrel: 22″ OMX-456 Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser Stock: FSS Merc Stock Ammo: .300 Mag Incendiary Bolt: Cronen Smooth Bolt
The FSS OLE-V Laser and FSS Merc Stock bring the Aim Down Sight Speed much higher than without it, and the Cronen Smooth Bolt allows you to re-chamber much faster and reduce the exposure window after emptying a magazine. This could be removed in favor of an optic if that isn’t a big deal in your playstyle.
As mentioned, the 22″ OMX-456 and .300 Mag incendiary rounds bring the real lethality to the party.
Victus XMR one-shot build
Our Warzone 2 Victus build follows similar guidelines, but opts for slightly more damage range and slightly less speed.

Muzzle: Bruen Counter Ops Barrel: Mack 8 33.5 Super Laser: VLK LZR 7MW Optics: SZ Holotherm Ammo: .50 Cal Brand
This loadout allows for a little more versatility, as the SZ Holotherm effectively counteracts any smoke thrown when players try to escape your line of sight. The Bruen Counter Ops make up for the damage range lost by using incendiary rounds.
