Earlier this year, Telegram developers introduced several new features, such as the ability to translate entire chats, set emoji categories, granular media permissions, animated emojis as profile pictures, and more. If you are fed up with your current Telegram profile photo and want to use an animated emoji, here is a step-by-step guide on how to do the same.

Here you can quickly use an animated emoji as your Telegram profile photo. (express photo)
Open the Telegram app on your device and tap the three-bar menu at the top left of the screen.
Now go to “Settings” page and click on “Set Profile Picture” option. Here you will find an option that says “Use Emoji”. Tap on it and you will be taken to a new page with lots of emojis and stickers.
There are hundreds of emojis available so it may take you a while to find one. Choose the emoji or sticker of your choice along with the background color. Telegram also allows users to select the background color of their choice if they don’t like the presets.
When you’re done, tap “Set Profile Photo” and you’re good to go. Now all your Telegrams will see an animated emoji as your profile picture.
