When asked how important social media validation is to her, Shraddha told IANS: “I don’t see it as social media validation, but I see it as a way to stay in touch with my fans and people, who loved and supported me because they did it really showered me with a lot of love.”
“I feel like I love sharing my normal parts of my life with them. When they say ‘Main bhi chashmish hun’, ‘Mujhe vada pav pasand hai’…I feel like I can share my true zone…”
Shraddha added: “I feel ok someone will say something in the comment jisse I might get an idea of what to eat next time or what glasses to get next time. One or the other talks about it and I love that. I think that it’s so refreshing on this medium, on social media, the connection with the people is there.”
Shraddha, the daughter of veteran actor Shakti Kapoor, made a comeback after three years on the big screen with Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. She was last seen on screen in 2020 in Baaghi 3.
Shraddha blames the pandemic for keeping her off screen.
“It was because of Covid. The theaters were closed and at that time ‘Baaghi 3’ was playing in the cinema halls and then they were closed. After that I was supposed to start filming ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ immediately and then of course there was a lockdown and that too was delayed.”
“Well, it wasn’t like I was going to take such a long break, it just happened.”
Shraddha trained as a singer since she was a child as her maternal grandfather and mother are classical singers.
Music plays an important role in her life.
Speaking of the type of music she likes, the actress said, “I like all kinds of music. I listen to old songs, coldplay, I listen to pop, techno and I also listen to healing frequencies.”
“I feel like I need to listen to music every day. It makes me very inspired and relaxed. There is something magical about music. I even like jazz.”
Looking to the future, Shraddha has the second part of the 2018 horror comedy ‘Stree’.
“The plan is to start with that because it’s very soon. I have my fingers and toes crossed because people were really entertained with ‘Stree’ and hopefully ‘Stree 2’.”
