MERIDIAN, Idaho, May 26, 2023–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Students at the Idaho Technical Career Academy (ITCA), an online public school for students in grades 9 through 12 focused on career preparation across the state soon to be moving forward to start the rest of their lives. The Idaho Technical Career Academy will personally celebrate its graduates with a commencement ceremony on May 30, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. MT.
“We are very pleased to recognize and celebrate the hard work of our graduating class,” said ITCA Principal Monti Pittman. “Our students are a testament to commitment and resilience, and we can’t wait to see what their bright future holds.”
Overall, the 2023 class — which includes more than 34 graduates — reports being accepted into trade schools, colleges and universities across the country, as well as into multiple branches of the military. Many students also enter the workforce directly or remain in the positions they held throughout high school.
Maren Cassinelli is the valedictorian of ITCA 2023 and plans to visit the Calvary Chapel Bible Institute in Kauai, Hawaii. Brynn Bollschweiler is the class welcome speaker and will attend Brigham Young University in Idaho. The keynote speaker at the live ceremony will be Tami Beach, an executive at Hewlett Packard and an associate professor at Boise State University.
ITCA graduates have crossed the finish line of their degrees and are ready for their next adventure in life.
Before the pandemic, students signed up for a virtual school for a variety of reasons – some wanted to avoid bullying, others may have gone astray academically, and others were looking for an alternative to the traditional classroom.
ITCA students in Grades 9 through 12 have access to a comprehensive online curriculum in core subjects and a variety of electives, and take part in live virtual classes taught by licensed teachers.
