Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kharagpur has partnered with gurugram-based ed-tech startup iVAR Lab. To see students’ experiences with VR, aspirants can visit the official website – ivarlab.iitkgp.ac.in.

As part of this collaboration, the iVAR Lab will share students’ experiences with virtual reality modules in industries such as construction, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and chemistry developed by iXRLabs.

Experts hope that this collaboration will lead to research and innovation in the field of virtual reality for educational purposes. Through this partnership, the two organizations hope to significantly improve students’ learning experience.

The modules in these programs cover a wide range of industrial environments including machines, factory tours and experiments such as a jet engine, a thermal power plant and a universal testing machine. Also, the iVAR lab will contribute to the writing and development of a research paper/white paper based on the pilot project.

“The collaboration will facilitate and encourage research and innovation on the applications of virtual reality in education and training, paving the way for a new era of immersive learning experiences that transform the way students acquire knowledge and skills can,” said Dr. Kaushal Kumar Bhagat, iVAR Lab, IIT Kharagpur.
