Riot Games’ popular first-person shooter game Valorant could be coming to mobile soon, according to recent claims from a well-known leaker. The PBE version of patch 6.06 reportedly includes files related to the unannounced mobile port of the game, and even shared an in-game screenshot from Valorant Mobile, hinting at the upcoming beta release.

Although Riot Games has yet to officially confirm plans for a mobile version of Valorant, the game’s huge popularity on PC could indicate that it’s coming to more platforms in the future. While the developer is still working on bringing Valorant to consoles, it seems that the unannounced mobile port could arrive sooner.
Riot Games has had success with mobile ports of its other popular titles such as Legends of Runeterra and League of Legends: Wild Rift. However, a competitive shooter could look very different and it remains to be seen how the developer will handle that. If Riot Games is following a strategy similar to Wild Rift, we can expect Valorant Mobile to be released in beta in limited regions before the full version arrives.
There aren’t any major competitive multiplayer shooters on mobile that can directly compete with Valorant Mobile, although Activision’s Call of Duty Mobile is a popular shooter that offers a different experience than Valorant. Ubisoft is also working on a mobile version of Rainbow Six Siege, although it is not yet fully released on the platform.
When Riot Games launched Wild Rift, it initially lacked some of the champions from the original game, as well as many skins. So it remains to be seen if this will also be the case with Valorant. The game recently got a new agent known as Gekko on PC, and two more agents are expected to arrive by the end of 2023, one of which will be a Sentinel.

Riot Games also plans to complete work on Premier Mode in 2023, a new competitive game mode that will be exclusive to users playing in full 5-stack squads. Premier will allow players to participate in online tournaments, similar to an e-sports environment. As anticipation builds for the mobile release of Valorant builds, we’ll be keeping an eye out for official announcements from Riot Games.

Pokdepinion: If done right, I wouldn’t be surprised if it ended up being more popular than the original game. I’m just concerned about the monetization part of the game.
