Former Indian batter Gautam Gambhir is considered one of the best players of his time. In a career spanning more than ten years, the Delhi-born cricketer played 58 test matches and scored 4154 runs with 9 centuries and a double ton. At the ODIs, he made 147 appearances and hit 5,238 runs with a strike rate of 85.25. Apart from that, Gambhir is known for his heroics in India’s triumph during the 2011 World Cup match against Sri Lanka, where he scored 97 runs in the chasing of 275. However, the cricketer-turned-politician is also widely known for being outspoken when sharing his opinions on players and teams.
On a lighter note, Gambhir’s former teammate Mohammad Kaif took to Twitter and shared a very unknown side of the two-time world champion. In a photo shared on Kaif’s Twitter, Gambhir was seen laughing openly as the Hindi caption was read. “Kayi apne dum par toofan thama de. Kayi apne josh my chattan hila de. Hum toh bs vo hain jo gambhir ko hasa de. @Gautam Gambhir.”
कई अपने दम पर तूफ़ान थमा दे…
कई और जोश मे चट्टान हिला दे…
हम तो बस वो हैं जो गंभीर को हँसा दे…

Aside from international cricket, Gambhir also had a stellar run in the IPL where he played 154 games and scored a total of 4218 runs in 36 half centuries. He also led the Kolkata Knight Riders to IPL titles in 2012 and 2014.
He currently serves as a mentor to the Lucknow Super Giants, who made their debut last season.
