The University of the West of Scotland Marketing and Student Recruitment team offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced, proactive and enthusiastic Social Media Officer.

You will play a key role in delivering UWS student recruitment marketing and broader communication and engagement priorities through the delivery of quality social media activities.

They develop and deliver plans and tactics to engage new and existing audiences to aid in recruitment and reputation building. They develop a consistent and authentic social tone that resonates with our diverse audience. You will work closely with experienced colleagues to develop and execute UWS’ social media plans, tactics and tone of voice.

You are a creative thinker with a talent for telling compelling stories with compelling digital content. You have a clear passion for delivering high-impact, influential, and industry-leading social media activity.

The successful candidate should have:

University degree or equivalent, preferably with an element in digital marketing/related field, with recent work experience relevant to the role. Experience in corporate and/or consumer social media, including proven expertise in designing and executing effective integrated social media campaigns. Experience working with clients on cross-channel social media campaigns, from concept to completion. Experience producing engaging content – ​​including videography/photography (shooting and editing) – for social media and other digital channels within a complex organization and/or high profile brand.
