DUBAI, UAE – The Jumeirah Group, the global luxury hospitality company and member of Dubai Holding, has partnered with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) to introduce Jumeirah Mobile Check-In, an industry-first biometric and digital technology solution. The Avantgarde solution allows guests to complete all check-in formalities prior to arrival via their mobile phone, providing a seamless arrival experience and reducing the check-in process by up to 10 minutes.
The technology, presented during GITEX 2022, allows Jumeirah guests who have booked directly on Jumeirah.com or the mobile application to upload all important identification documents within 48 hours before the stay. The process includes an industry-first verification step where guests take a selfie from their mobile phone and upload that image to complete the check-in process. Upon arrival you will then receive a digital or physical key depending on the guest’s preference. In accordance with best practices to ensure privacy and security, and subject to guest consent, the service also uses the guest’s identity to customize and create truly personalized experiences both inside and outside the hotel.
Thomas B. Meier, Chief Operating Officer, Jumeirah Group, said: “Putting the guest at the heart of everything we do is Jumeirah Group’s top priority and we are always looking for new and innovative solutions to enhance our hospitality continue to improve and personalize the experience.
