Kyle Richards cleans up marriage rumors
ET’s Cassie DiLaura spoke with the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star at the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Awards party on Sunday night, where she said she’s “not losing any sleep” because of the internet over the status of her relationship with husband Mauricio Umansky rumbles.
“Analyzing everything is like this – we were just talking about it in the car. I get seen at the gym without a ring or the weight loss rumors. I – I just can’t keep up anymore, and I just told Dorit (Kemsley) on the car ride that I don’t even care anymore.”
She continued, “I used to get so upset about these things. I do not care. I don’t lose any sleep over it.”
Richards called the cool attitude different from hers, saying she attributes her shift in perspective to being a tenured homemaker.
“I don’t know if I’m getting used to it or if I’ve just been through so much that I’ve thrown in the towel,” Richards surmised. “I do not really know. All I know is that my fear is better than ever and I just can’t fret about it anymore.”
As for RHOBH Season 13, Richards said the dynamic has definitely shifted now that the cast is working with a somewhat reduced group of ladies following Lisa Rinna’s departure.
“We originally started out as six housewives in seasons one and two, so right now that doesn’t necessarily mean what you see is what you already get,” she explained. “So stay tuned.”
“But obviously there will be a few faces missing this season,” added Richards. “It’s always interesting to see the dynamic change as other people come and go and it makes for an interesting show. And it’s interesting now to see how people who didn’t get along fare, or who didn’t. Just change everything.”
Despite the struggles and drama often seen in the long-running series, Richards told ET that she considers all of the women in RHOBH to be her sisters.
“They’re really all like sisters to me,” Richards claimed. “We have moments all the time, but we spend a lot of time together, and we all support each other in our businesses, all our ventures, and they’re really a sisterhood. I’d say all housewives, but of course my girls from Beverly Hills — they mean a lot to me.”
She continued, “That’s why I think I get so upset when we’re fighting because I’m the guy I lose sleep over because I care about them.”
