Lynn’s Duffy Insurance acquires Wakefield insurance agency

LYNN – Duffy Insurance Agency recently acquired the assets of Wakefield-based B&M Insurance Agency.

Led by Director Rob McCormack Jr., B&M Agency will continue to meet the needs of the thousands of individuals, families and businesses in Massachusetts and New Hampshire that it has served from its Wakefield office for 50 years. Rob recently took over the business from his father, B&M founder Robert “Bob” McCormack.

Marc Duffy, President of Duffy Insurance Agency, said that during its 50 years in business, B&M Insurance Agency has established itself as a highly respected insurance agency.

“When I first met owner Bob McCormack and his son Rob Jr., it was very clear to me that we share much of the same business philosophy of providing personal, in-house customer service,” said Duffy. “We’ve met several times over the past few years and really developed a strong relationship and understanding of how best to transform the agency that the McCormack family has worked so hard to build. B&M Insurance customers will continue to enjoy this in-house customer service with a strong emphasis on personal connection.”

Duffy said customers will also enjoy additional product offerings and insurance company options at Duffy Insurance.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be working with Rob Jr. and the B&M team,” said Duffy.

Rob said since first meeting Duffy he saw the similarities in not only growing up in the family business and being a family agency, but in putting clients first.

“I have every confidence in Marc and his vision to grow the Duffy brand into one of the state’s premier insurance agencies,” said Rob. “I am excited about the opportunity to become part of the Duffy family where I can continue to serve our customers but most importantly contribute to the growth of the Duffy brand.”

Bob said that when he leaves the business, he wants to merge his agency with a brand that is similar to B&M’s core values.

“This allows for a seamless transition for our employees, but more importantly for our customers. I only had to spend a few minutes with Marc to know that Duffy Insurance shares the same core values ​​and mission statement as we do,” said Bob. “The ability to always put the customer first and always be available to our customers was a must in finding the perfect partner for our company.
