Why are people even arguing whether WhatsApp or IMessage are safe… neither are they

It’s like asking what is a better material to make a dam, cotton balls or cotton candy

Pull yourself together

By now everyone knows that everything this guy says about privacy is nonsense and lies because he can’t do without collecting people’s data which I think should be thoroughly investigated… I mean if you’re in go to a store and buy something that does This doesn’t mean the store should attach itself to record private information and track you. So why does this happen when you download a game or app? Some apps steal your data even after deleting!!!! This shouldn’t be happening and something should be done to stop this one-way profiteering where they set traps with apps

Anonymous, 5 hours agoWhenever you use iMessage to chat with Android users, you lose privacy and security. Apple does…moreYou don’t use iMessage to chat with Android users, you use the Messages app to send an SMS. You use the same app to send an iMessage to other iOS users. First try to get the facts straight, yes. And if Apple didn’t care about privacy, then they would have access to a wealth of information that they could use in a number of ways they currently don’t.

Now I agree that SMS isn’t secure, and Apple might hazard that something like RCS is the secure answer. Given who’s primarily peddling it, Google, and their apparent penchant for suddenly abandoning projects, particularly those related to messaging, I understand Apple’s skepticism.

And yes, iMessage has been a huge incentive for selling Apple products since they’re predominantly a hardware company and not an information broker (think Google and FaceBook). Again, I understand their reluctance to give away an ace up their sleeve.

Zuckerberg and security…. lol yeah you sound so believable!

Chris1998, 7 hours agoProbably because iMessage and Google Message can filter out what is a spam message…moreSo Zuckerberg’s statement that WA is “much more private and secure” is nonsense.

Chris1998, 7 hours agoFunny how no one dares question the untouchable Apple when it comes to their privacy…more“But some want to accuse Huawei of selling their data to China”

Sale??? Whoever said anything about sale would imply a voluntary transaction. No, more like where Huawei ends and the Chinese government begins is not so clear.
I get your point, the US is not exactly innocent of this stuff. Between the two I’ll take the devil I know

As for Apple, I trust them with any information they could glean from me about the abundance I know Facebook is dying to put on their grubby gloves.

It’s funny how nobody dares to question the untouchable Apple when it comes to their privacy/security, but everyone (especially here) wants to jump on the bandwagon and start badmouthing Huawei and China

I’m just saying India and the US are no better. In America specifically, didn’t ringdoorbell sell customer data to the FBI and the police last year without customer permission?? However, some want to accuse Huawei of having sold their data to China

I’m just saying google is your friend. A little research and you’ll soon find out that your own country makes this stuff

Haha no. Just last year I had 6 bots spamming me via WhatsApp and trying to steal my info when I click on a link. iMessage doesn’t give me any of that shit.

Yalim, 9 hours agoWhy use imessage and limit usage to Apple devices? WhatsApp works on any device.A quick look at the app privacy section for WhatsApp in the App Store can tell you. Zuck may be right in its claims of “being more secure,” but that means Facebook itself is sifting through every last aspect of a user’s private life, looking for what to sell to the highest bidder. It says something that when you click on the app privacy section for any of Facebook’s service apps, you have to scroll considerably to get to the bottom of the list.

Really ironic when you think about it see I can believe Zuck instructed his cronies to make WhatsApp as secure as possible, it’s easier to charge more for information when you’re the only one who can sell it . However, his emphasis on the virtue of “privacy” is a bit much considering user data is still shared, only it’s on the other end of a Facebook receipt……

Anonymous, 11 hours agoYou’ve already given Apple your organs. It is enough.Ahahaha ha ha aaaah. So funny. Except it’s not really more expensive and the experience is on a whole different level. Not that any of you really know, as you’re all stuck on budget Androids and screaming out loud that you’re the world’s experts on everything Apple despite never having seen any of their products firsthand.

There is no humanity in today’s world. We are all walking and talking money machines. Every single part of our body to the things we use, to the things we get up or with anything is money.

So in conclusion he’s basically saying “I’ll sell your data too, but not as badly as the other seller”?

Yalim, 9 hours agoWhy use imessage and limit usage to Apple devices? WhatsApp works on any device. Why limit usage to Apple devices? Because that’s how you stay exclusive and sell more iPhone 🤑🧠

Rosso, 14 hours agoBasically, people think one is worse than the other, but the reality is that every company is just as bad.In fact, all of these companies are bad. So… never sell them your brains (don’t be like the apple fans)
