Mobile Legends: Best Mage Heroes for Beginners

Mobile Legends: What are the different lanes and which heroes should use them?

One of the most challenging things I experienced when I first played Mobile Legends was to find the heroes I liked to play with.

Apparently there are heroes who are easier to maneuver than others. Well, I had to sacrifice my win rate just to know which heroes to play. That’s part of the game I guess.

Since I play mage heroes most of the time, I already have a basic knowledge of which heroes are easy to use even for beginners. So I made this list to help other beginners who are looking for heroes that they can easily control.

Nana

Nan

This mage/support hero is a crowd favorite for beginners. All of her abilities are easy to control and don’t require really fast reflexes. But the most notable thing about this hero is her Passive, Molina’s Gift.

When Nana dies she basically turns into Molina and has little HP left (basically she will avoid death). When in Molina form, Nana also gains significant movement speed to hopefully escape from the enemy team.

When an enemy team still corners Nana after her Molina transformation, this is the only time she will truly die.

I personally like to call her the “immortal heroine” because of her passive voice. However, it’s important to note that her passive only activates every 120 seconds. In other words, if Nana dies again less than 120 seconds before her previous death, she dies instantly.

She’s one of my favorite heroines and that’s because of her second and ultimate ability. What I like most about this heroine is that she can easily clear waves of minions.

Her abilities make sense, and she’s arguably one of the most balanced mages in the game in terms of skills and attributes.

Of course, maxing out the ultimate ability first is a no-brainer. But when I choose between the first and the second ability, I personally exhaust the latter.

Chang’e’s second ability, Crescent Moon, grants her a shield and additional movement speed. Because of this, sometimes I don’t need to buy Arcane or Magic shoes just to have acceptable movement speed in-game.

I use her ultimate ability, Meteor Shower, to clear minion waves. Other players might find this wasteful, but I’d like to note that Chang’e’s ultimate has a short cooldown. The faster I clear minion waves, the more time I can help my other teammates.

I also use this mage heroine as an off laner/EXP laner because of her abilities.

Cyclops

Cyclops

He’s my second favorite hero next to Chang’e. Although Chang’e can clear minion waves faster (thanks to her Ultimate ability), Cyclops’ first and second skills can clear minion waves significantly faster than other mage heroes like Kagura and Eudora.

But that’s not the most remarkable thing about this hero. Cyclops is so versatile that you can actually use him as a jungler, mage, and support. Not to mention that his second ability can also increase his movement speed when he needs to run away or chase the enemy team.
