Navigate to cyber threats, data regulation and the use of artificial intelligence worldwide | insight

Baker McKenzie, in partnership with Accenture LLP, invites in-house corporate legal teams and interested business prospects to join us in person on Thursday, June 1 to discuss how different legal departments are approaching AI and how companies are addressing these challenges and risks.

background

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) continues to transform the way business is done. While the use of AI and data-driven technologies or solutions has already found its way into the daily business of companies in all sectors in many areas, this trend will continue to intensify in the near future. This is especially true where digital transformation “requires” rapid change in business and business models for multinational corporations to stay on the ball. In addition, corporate legal departments are preparing for a change in the regulatory landscape as legislators around the world try to set guard rails for the use of AI. At the same time, this growing use of and reliance on AI and data makes organizations increasingly vulnerable to cybercriminals. In addition, lawmakers around the world are moving toward regulating the use, access, and sharing of data between market participants.

agenda

The program begins with a keynote address from Cyrus R. Vance, Jr. (former Manhattan District Attorney and global chair of Baker McKenzie’s cybersecurity practice), who will share his insights into the importance of data and how to protect data in an ever-evolving environment will pass on cyber threat factors.

Following the keynote, there will be two panel discussions with senior business leaders in the privacy and technology space, as well as Baker McKenzie practitioners from the US and Europe. The panel dialog will give an update about:
