NEW DELHI : The National Testing Agency is expected to start registering the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)-UG 2023 application on the official website today i.e. 6 March 2023.
According to the sources, the application registration for NEET-UG 2023 is scheduled to start around this evening, i.e. from 18:00.
Students who wish to apply for the NEET UG exam 2023 are advised to continue to visit the official NTA website – https://neet.nta.nic.in/. Once published, candidates can download the NEET-UG 2023 Information Bulletin.
NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate) is an entrance exam administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for students seeking admission to undergraduate medical degrees (MBBS/BDS) at various public and private medical colleges across the country aim for India.
The NEET-UG exam is administered once a year in offline mode (pen and paper) and assesses the candidate’s knowledge and skills in subjects such as physics, chemistry and biology.
NEET-UG 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Candidate must be 17 years of age at the time of admission or will reach age on or before December 31 of the year of their admission to the first year of the MBBS/BDS course.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with the core subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English.
Minimum score: The candidate must have achieved at least 50% of the points in PCB (40% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL and 45% for General-PwD) in the proficiency test.
Nationality: Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Foreign Citizens of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply to NEET UG.
How do I apply online for the NEET-UG 2023?
Registration: Visit the official website of NEET UG (https://neet.nta.nic.in/) and click on the “Registration” button. Enter your basic information such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email address and password to create your account.
Fill out the application form: Log in to your account and fill out the application form with your personal, academic and communication details. Select the exam center and upload scanned copies of your photo, signature and other required documents.
Paying the Application Fee: Pay the application fee using any of the available online payment options (debit/credit card, Net Banking, UPI) or by E-Challan to the designated bank. The application fee for NEET UG is Rs. 1600/- for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 900/- for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Print Confirmation Page: After submitting the application form and paying the fee, print the confirmation page for future reference.
