On-site registration possible from February for the Virtual Reality exhibition “Visiting the Ruins of St. Paul’s in Space and Time”

MACAU, January 31 – To facilitate the public’s experience of the “Visit the Ruins of St. Paul in Space and Time” program – virtual reality exhibition at the Ruins of St. Paul – there will be on-site registration at 1 . February. Everyone is welcome to register online or on-site to enjoy a brand new Macau World Heritage digital cultural tourism experience.

The initiative “Visiting the Ruins of St. Paul’s in Space and Time” – Exhibition of Virtual Reality at the Ruins of St. Paul’s is organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) and is the first local exhibition with advanced simulation technologies , including 3D models, autostereoscopy, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), based on Macau’s World Heritage Site, presents an interpretive digital reconstruction of the church that will allow the public to appreciate the historic landscape of the ruins of St. Paul’s College 400 years ago through virtual reality. The event has received an overwhelmingly positive response since its inception and has greatly enriched the experience of visiting the Ruins of St. Paul’s. The first phase of the exhibition ends on February 28th. To allow more members of the public to experience Macau’s unique integration of world heritage content combined with digital technology capabilities, the initiative “Visiting the Ruins of St. Paul’s in Space and Time” – Exhibition of Virtual Reality at the Ruins of St. Paul’s will take place from February 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with three sessions per hour every 20 minutes. The public can register online for the even-hour sessions through IC’s activity registration system (www.icm.gov.mo/eform/event). On-site registration is available for the remaining sessions, which take place every 20 minutes. The public is welcome to register through the above two methods to explore the historical landscape of the Church in the past.

After the completion of the preliminary first phase of the exhibition at the end of February, the entire exhibition experience will then be officially opened in the second half of March and more exciting and even richer digital content will be made available to the public.
