According to Apple, this year’s winners include developers from around the world whose apps and games have been selected by the global App Store editorial team for their exceptional quality, innovative technology, creative design and positive cultural impact.
BeReal from the team at BeReal grabs the gong for Best iPhone App. This app is shaking up social media by scrapping fake filters and giving you random times throughout the day to take and post photos so friends can get a more realistic view of your life.
If you have an iPad, Apple says GoodNotes 5 is the best choice, as this application helps you jot down ideas, mark up PDFs, and even turn your hand-drawn shapes into geometrically perfect shapes.
Mac App of the Year went to MacFamilyTree 10, which offers a variety of options for capturing and visualizing your family history.
Other apps that have won awards in 2022 include Gentler Streak – which helps Apple Watch users reach their fitness goals – and games like Apex Legends Mobile and Wylde Flowers.
