Panel of cannabis industry experts with a focus on tourism

(GALLOWAY, NJ) — A panel of cannabis industry experts will host a free online webinar on cannabis tourism on Friday, March 10th. The webinar, titled “Destination Cannabis: Evolving Cannabis Hospitality & Tourism for a Mainstream Audience,” will discuss legal recreational cannabis use, its impact on resort destinations, and opportunities for hospitality and tourism businesses in New Jersey and beyond. The event starts at 1:00 p.m.

Rob Mejia, a Stockton-based cannabis studies teaching specialist, will serve as moderator. Mejia is the author of several books written specifically to introduce adults to the cannabis industry and President of Our Community Harvest: A Cannabis Education Company.

Featured panelists include: Brian Applegarth, Founder of the Cannabis Travel Association; Elizabeth Becker, founder of HiBnb, a website promoting events and destinations that explore cannabis in a safe and supportive environment; and dr Susan Dupej, postdoctoral researcher at the University of Guelph in Canada. She is co-founder and President of the Canadian Cannabis Tourism Alliance.

After the discussion, the panelists will ask questions from the virtual audience.
