Armstrong Teasdale announces that Glen Waldman, Partner and Office Managing Attorney of Miami, has been named a 2022 Who’s Who Legal Thought Leaders in Commercial Litigation. Waldman has over 35 years of experience in complex business, commercial, real estate, land use and probate litigation.
Who’s Who Legal, a publication of Law Business Research Limited, has identified the leading lawyers in several areas of business law since 1996. Overall, the site features over 24,000 of the world’s leading private attorneys and 2,500 consulting professionals from over 150 jurisdictions. Who’s Who Legal reviews thousands of votes and nominations over the course of its research and has identified Waldman as one of the world’s best in the field of commercial disputes.
Waldman has tried both jury and bank cases involving disputes in a variety of areas, including contracts, fraud, fraudulent wire transfers, business partnerships, land use, wills, construction, real estate, insurance, trademark infringement and banking. He also has extensive experience in reinsurance matters, particularly those relating to the London market, as well as US insurance coverage matters and related litigation. He also represents and advises companies on their contractual relationships, internal controls and procedures, and other legal and strategic decisions.
As lead counsel, Waldman has received numerous seven- and eight-figure jury verdicts on business, commercial and real estate matters, and has successfully defended claims of equal magnitude. He had similar successes in the area of land use and in the probate courts. He has also won numerous international arbitration awards in trade and reinsurance matters up to $50 million.
Active in professional and civil society, Waldman is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. He also serves on the University of Miami Citizens Board and is Chair of the Key Biscayne Youth Advisory Athletic Board.
Waldman is also recognized as a senior commercial attorney by Chambers USA; ranks among the top attorneys in America® for commercial, construction and real estate disputes; and received a 2021 Top 100 Nationwide rating from ALM’s Daily Business Review.
