Hanif Fikri, 3 hours agoThe SD card is slowly dead and in the next few years even low-end budget phones won’t support SD anymore…t…anymoreBecause you need over 600MB/s to listen to music (even with Opus), store 5-20MB of images, videos up to 1GB (trust me it’s hard to achieve even at 4k for a normal person), PS2 and/or Xbox ROMs. Be honest, most people would still be fine with a 2005 computer and get their jobs/needs done faster if the software was written correctly.
I understand there are people who need the bandwidth, but I think there should be an extensible standard that allows you to use a 100MB/s card and a 6GB/s card (maybe faster?) plug into the same slot without adding a massive case/device for the phone.
Although expandable storage is a must now more than 10 years ago, one of the reasons why more people are working on their phones every day and their data is work critical would be, so if the phone suffers a hardware malfunction it would be wiser to have a detachable option, which is easily accessible to every common man.

Anonymous, 57 minutes agoRegardless, you should stay with you for 1.5-2 years.Don’t think you deserve to experience Forest Mate. I’ve used most of my phones for about 4 years each since 2012 (the third has now started its third year and is still going strong). A case and screen protector are cheaper to manufacture and more environmentally friendly than a new phone.

Kids these days know nothing about nothing and think they are something. People around me overpay for cell phone plans and I’m chilling here with an SD card slot. If you’re so ignorant and don’t want to spend your money elsewhere then do it, but if there’s a good number of people demanding this feature the manufacturers may go bankrupt as far as we’re concerned.

Most SD card OEMs have a longer lifespan. Latest electronic even CCTV all with SD card and can read/write 3-5 years daily without stopping
