Pre-registration for Dead by Daylight’s new revamped mobile game is open

Behavior Interactive has announced that it will be opening pre-registration for a new, remastered version of Dead by Daylight for mobile devices. For those who don’t know, Dead by Daylight is an asymmetric multiplayer horror game pitting four survivors against one killer that was brought to mobile later in 2020 with the help of NetEase Games.

Watch the trailer for Dead by Daylight’s latest chapter, Tools of Torment, here.

The mobile version of the game was released for free just three years ago and it is certainly popular as it has accumulated millions of downloads since then. However, there’s no denying that Dead by Daylight’s mobile experience feels lackluster compared to consoles and PC.

After pumping a few hundred hours into the game on both PC and Nintendo Switch, my personal experience of Dead by Daylight on mobile was poor. The game doesn’t look great, is slow and feels impossible to pull off those endless chases, but I can’t say I wasn’t expecting that much. However, the revamped version of the mobile game is set to launch on March 15, with pre-registration available now. With an overhaul, the mobile version of Dead by Daylight could feel a little more playable.

Raffle winners will receive premium 1/6th scale statues based on the Killers from The Spirit, The Trapper and The Wraith. Additionally, all players will receive 20 Sinister Stones, 10,000 Iridescent Shards, and 150,000 in-game Bloodpoints if and when Dead by Daylight Mobile reaches the 1 million registrations milestone.

As for the new version of Dead by Daylight Mobile, players can expect quite a few graphical improvements. Clothing and hair now have physics, dynamic shading and lighting are introduced, and a full visual overhaul of all characters and maps is incorporated.

In addition, the controls will be improved and various bugs and quality of life improvements will be fixed. Behavior Interactive also plans to add new character cosmetics, more social features, and The Rift.

Included in the PC and console versions of Dead by Daylight, The Rift acts as a cosmetics season pass for players. This Rift Pass is now being added to Dead by Daylight Mobile, allowing players to earn free rewards and climb the ranks.
