Altair announced the rebranding of its entire data analytics and AI suite to Altair RapidMiner, bringing all data analytics technology together on one platform. The Altair RapidMiner platform offers comprehensive end-to-end solutions from data acquisition and modeling to operationalization and visualization. Additionally, the platform is now available through Altair Units.
Lightning AI announced the general availability of PyTorch Lightning 2.0, the company’s flagship open source AI framework used by more than 10,000 organizations to train and scale machine learning models. The new version introduces a stable API, offers a variety of features with a smaller footprint, and is easier to read and debug. Lightning AI also introduced Lightning Fabric to give users control over their training loop.
Intel contributed AI acceleration to PyTorch 2.0. Specifically, Intel provided Intel Extension for PyTorch, oneAPI Deep Neural Network Library (oneDNN), and additional support for Intel CPUs to allow developers to optimize artificial intelligence (AI) inference and training performance in this version of PyTorch.

The company also announced deeper integrations with Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service and SAP solutions, AI accelerators, and redesigned service offerings.
Heap announced the extension of its mobile auto-capture capabilities to new development frameworks for Android and iOS. Heap’s platform empowers mobile teams to understand and optimize cross-platform customer experiences in one space. The cross-platform customer experience enables customers to achieve the shortest time-to-insight so they can create the best possible digital experiences and accelerate their business beyond what other tools can offer.
New Relic announced an MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) capability that allows development teams to monitor applications built using OpenAI’s GPT-series APIs. With just two lines of code, engineering teams can monitor OpenAI completion queries while tracking real-time performance and cost metrics in a single view with New Relic.
ngrok announced that it has expanded free access to security features. Developers on ngrok’s free plan can now take advantage of webhook validation and the ability to restrict access to services using OAuth, the modern standard for securing access to APIs.
Provectus announces version v0.6 of the Apache Kafka user interface. The latest update brings enhancements and features that streamline cluster setup, enable efficient data discovery and observation, and simplify the installation process through AWS Marketplace. Improved and newly added user interface features for Apache Kafka include a cluster setup configuration wizard, integration with the OpenDataDiscovery platform, support for Protobuf imports and file references, and more.
Synthesis AI announced its expanded capabilities to provide synthetic data for a variety of automotive and autonomous vehicle (AV) use cases, including driver monitoring systems (DMS), occupant monitoring systems (OMS), and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Through Synthesis Humans and Synthesis Scenarios, an ecosystem of automotive OEMs, suppliers and suppliers can now simulate driver and occupant behavior for vehicle cabin environments to build more powerful perception systems.
Syniti announced the launch of its Data Assessment Express solution, a week-long data quality assessment designed specifically for companies using SAP solutions. The solution enables organizations to improve focus and increase automation with insights from multiple data domains. It helps organizations reduce risk and accelerate execution across multiple data quality use cases.
Tecton announced Tecton 0.6, which introduces notebook-driven development to create ML functions and generate training datasets. With the new release, data scientists and ML engineers can leverage Tecton’s feature engineering framework in their core modeling workflow without ever leaving their notebooks. Tecton also introduced its Stream Ingest API, which offers more flexibility in managing streaming functions.
TIBCO announced a number of enhancements to its analytics suite. Key enhancements to the following TIBCO analytics solutions include: TIBCO Spotfire 12.2 now offers a scalable, self-service analytics platform with built-in governance; TIBCO Streaming Now Offers Dynamic Learning and Analyzes Streaming Data to Automate Data Management and Analysis Calculations on Real-Time Events, Merging Historical and Streaming Data as Part of the Same Analysis; TIBCO Data Science – Team Studio updates include a new Apache Spark 3 workflow engine and TIBCO Data Virtualization for data management.
Zenoss announced that it has released streaming data monitoring for Kubernetes. This real-time monitoring of streaming Kubernetes data is part of a broader set of initiatives focused on cloud-based monitoring that enables visibility into volatile systems that traditional monitoring tools cannot effectively monitor.
Partnerships, collaborations and more

Canonical announced it is teaming up with MediaTek to optimize Ubuntu for IoT innovation. The first Ubuntu images are optimized for MediaTek’s Genio 1200 System on Chip (SoC). The solution enhances AI innovation for enterprises, startups, emerging brands and leading ODMs in different markets. In other news from Canonical, the company announced that its Ubuntu Core OS is now compatible with Arm’s SystemReady IR system specification. In addition, the operating system has achieved PSA Certified Level 1.
data.world announced that it is partnering with dbt Labs to provide deeper insight into the transformation and discoverability of data assets built with dbt. The new partnership builds on data.world’s existing integration with dbt Core and includes dbt Cloud. Now dbt cloud users have the opportunity to gain meaningful insights through data.world’s knowledge graph.
KNIME announced that it has achieved Premier Tier partner status from Snowflake. As a Premier Partner, KNIME can help accelerate the digital transformation of its joint customers, who can take full advantage of the Snowflake Data Cloud.
New Relic and JFrog announced an integration that gives development teams a single point of access to efficiently monitor and maintain software development operations. Using New Relic with JFrog provides real-time visibility into CI/CD pipelines, APIs and web application development workflows, empowering DevOps and security leaders to quickly address performance and security issues in the software supply chain.
Tabnine announced that it has partnered with Google to power the future of advanced generative AI on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Tabnine’s AI tools for VS Code (5M) and JetBrains (2M) are part of the daily processes of many developers. The expanded partnership with Google will help developers streamline their workflows, increase productivity and make the software development process more efficient.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced the launch of its 5G-ready TCS Cognitive Plant Operations Adviser solution for the Microsoft Azure Private Mobile Edge Computing (PMEC) platform.
