Lightning AI announced the general availability of PyTorch Lightning 2.0, the company’s flagship open source AI framework used by more than 10,000 organizations to train and scale machine learning models. Canonical announced it is teaming up with MediaTek to optimize Ubuntu for IoT innovation. The first Ubuntu images are optimized for MediaTek’s Genio 1200 System on Chip (SoC). In other news from Canonical, the company announced that its Ubuntu Core OS is now compatible with Arm’s SystemReady IR system specification.
